American Ukrainian Aid Foundation (AUAF) was part of a special Outdoor Festival for Orphans and Children of Fallen Heroes held last week in Smila, Ukraine.

The American Ukrainian Aid Foundation sent 20 children of Ukraine’s fallen heroes to a three-week camp in the Carpathians. They found rest, friendship, outdoor adventure, and professional healing support.

Held event at the Cherkasy Arena Stadium in Ukraine on August 27th, 2023, AUAF hosted 200+ refugee children for a day of fun-filled activities.

My city, Izium, which is near Kharkiv, was attacked and occupied by Russia in early March. It was very scary.  My Mom and I with a few other families were hiding in the basement from Russian soldiers with very little food and water for over a week.
