AUAF is proud to share that we successfully organized two impactful events in Zolotonosha and Smila for children who have lost a parent or have been displaced by the war.
These gatherings were filled with joy, laughter, and moments of healing, reminding these children they are not forgotten and that they are surrounded by love and support.
Each event was designed to provide a carefree, uplifting day for the children, allowing them to step away from the harsh realities of war and trauma.
The children received personal gifts, including toys and necessities like notebooks and backpacks.
Patriotic sticker tattoos were a hit with the kids, adding a colorful and meaningful touch to the day. There was also plenty of enthusiastic dancing and singing to familiar Ukrainian songs.
Their smiles said more than words ever could.
In Smila, a local DJ played energetic Ukrainian music, and when the children approached the DJ booth, he kindly showed them how to use the equipment, which brought empowerment and joy.
In Zolotonosha, we hosted a picnic-style event with a variety of fun events and attractions. Children enjoyed pizza, ice cream, cotton candy, fresh fruits, juices, and more.
These events did more than entertain, they brought healing. The children were able to escape the pain and uncertainty caused by the war. Through music, play, and shared joy, they found moments of peace and belonging. Their expressions of gratitude reminded us why our mission is so important.
We plan to host more children's events over the summer. We appreciate your ongoing contributions to this campaign. Thanks to all our Donors for their support.
